Structured Progression System
Students are assessed on technique, confidence, attendance, and overall readiness at each stage.
Instructor‑Led Recommendations Gradings take place only when an instructor invites the student, ensuring they are fully prepared and set up to succeed.
Kyu gradings follow the Budokan/Cobra syllabus and help students build the skills needed for advanced training and eventual Black Belt preparation.

Grading Fees:
The £150 fee applies to 1st Dan (Shodan). Higher Dan grades have increased fees due to advanced requirements.
Cobra Black Belt Register:
Successful candidates are added to the official register, confirming their grade within the Budokan/Cobra system.
Grading Panel:
All Black Belt gradings are assessed by a qualified panel to ensure fairness and high technical standards.
Invitation Only:
Black Belt grading is by invitation, based on skill, maturity, attendance, and instructor recommendation.
How to Pay
Monthly memberships are paid by standing order on the 1st of each month.
Setting it up only takes a minute, just speak to an instructor and we’ll guide you through it.
If you’re starting with Pay As You Go, you can switch to a monthly plan at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What if we miss a week , do we get a credit?
No monthly memberships work the same way as a gym or nursery.
Your fee helps cover hall hire, insurance, equipment, and other running costs, which stay the same whether your child attends or not.
Even if the club is shut for a short break, there are no refunds, as membership payments keep the club running and your child’s place secure.
To help balance things out, we pay your insurance for you, which most clubs don’t do.
Where do we buy the uniforms?
You can buy your uniform directly through the club.
We use Blitz as our supplier because their uniforms wash well, fit comfortably, and last a long time.
As an instructor, I keep a small stock of sizes at the club, and I can order any size you need.
Just speak to me before or after class and I’ll help you get the right fit and let you know the price.
Can we switch plans later?
Yes you can move between Pay As You Go, Monthly one , or Monthly two at any time. Just speak to an instructor.
How do we set up payment?
