We start with simple movements and fun, confidence‑building activities so they can settle in quickly.
There’s no pressure to get anything perfect , the goal is for them to feel comfortable, supported, and proud of what they achieve in their very first session.

FAQ

What age can my child start Ju‑Jitsu?

We welcome children from age seven.
We’ve found that younger kids often struggle to stay focused during structured training, so starting at seven helps them get the most out of each session and enjoy learning safely and confidently.

What should they wear?

For their first few lessons, comfy sports clothes are perfect — something they can move around in easily. Once they’re settled, we can supply a proper Blitz uniform at the club. Blitz kits are durable, wash well, and last ages, so they’re ideal for regular training.

Is it safe?

Yes absolutely.
All our classes are taught in a controlled, supportive environment by fully qualified, DBS‑checked instructors who are trained in first aid and safeguarding.
We focus on teaching children how to move safely, respect others, and build confidence at their own pace. Safety is always our top priority on the mat.

Great, Best thing I have done with my lad.
Me and my boy have been going for around 7 years now and absolutely love it.
I took him first and liked the look of it so much joined myself.
And its the highlight of our week.
The instructors are amazing, The kids love learning all the moves and progressing through there belts, With fun and games thrown in.
This is all while learning some very important self defence, Which is great in this day and age.
They are also taught How to respect others and some first aid.
There is so much to learn as the kids get older that they will never get bored.
This is also good for adults who are looking for something different, Learning self defence and keeping fit too.
And dont worry about cost as it is very good value for money.
