Sensei Dave Williams is the cheif instructor of the budokan ju-jitsu club.
 
Sensei Williams started his martial arts career in 1984, training in karate, like most ten year olds at the time he had watched the karate kid and thought he would give it a go.
 
In February 1996 he walked into St Hilda's church hall in hunts cross, Liverpool were a class of Ju-Jitsu was being taught.
 
The Classes Instructor was Sensei Mick Walsh, he taught Ju-Jitsu which was fast, short and very effective. 
 
Sensei Williams was hooked from then on.
 
Sensei Williams gained his Shodan in 2004 he is teaching the same system that Sensei Walsh taught him .
 

 

 

 

 

 

Sensei Mick Walsh Started training in 1966 at The Alpha Ju-Jitsu Institute in Liverpool .

 

The Alpha was run by Professor Jack Britten.

 

Sensei Walsh had many clubs over the years all over merseyside

Sensei Walsh was well respected in his field of Ju-Jitsu by his Contemporary's for he was a great Technician and teacher .

 

Sensei Walsh only gave a dozen or so black belts out in his forty years of training Lucky for Sensei Williams he was one of them.

 

 
 
 
Later in the 1930s he moved to Shiell Road, Kensington, Liverpool, taking over a very large house that had 5 tatami rooms.

 

His's dojo was called The Alpha Ju-Jitsu Institute, and until his death he remained a full time instructor teaching the same system he was taught by his first Japanese instructors. He did not go down the Kano Kodokan (Judo) road. As with many men in his position he was an instructor to a variety of constabularies. In the 50's,60's,70's many of his students would go on to make their mark on JuJitsu .
