Sensei Dave Williams is the cheif instructor of the budokan ju-jitsu club.

Sensei Williams started his martial arts career in 1984, training in karate, like most ten year olds at the time he had watched the karate kid and thought he would give it a go.

In February 1996 he walked into St Hilda's church hall in hunts cross, Liverpool were a class of Ju-Jitsu was being taught.

The Classes Instructor was Sensei Mick Walsh, he taught Ju-Jitsu which was fast, short and very effective.

Sensei Williams was hooked from then on.

Sensei Williams gained his Shodan in 2004 he is teaching the same system that Sensei Walsh taught him .

Sensei Mick Walsh Started training in 1966 at the Alpha Ju-Jitsu Institute in Liverpool .

The Alpha was run by Professor Jack Britten.

Sensei Mick Walsh had clubs over the years in Anfield, Runcorn, Speke, Huntscross, he also taught private lessons.

Sensei Walsh was well respected in his field of Ju-Jitsu by his Contemporary's for he was a great Technician and teacher .

Sensei Walsh only gave a dozen or so black belts out in his forty years of training Lucky for Sensei Williams he was one of them.

Sadly for the ju-jitsu community Sensei Walsh passed away in 2005.

Professor Jack Britten started the Alpha Ju-Jitsu Institute in 1910, half of the instructors in merseyside and cheshire can trace there history back to the Alpha. the other half can trace there history to skyners Ju-Jitsu club.

Professor Jack Britten died in 1976 leaving the alpha to Sensei Mick Walsh

Sensei Walsh's last teacher was  Grand Master Mr Chew Choo Soot Founder of Karate Budokan International

Grand Master came all the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia back in the day to give Sensei Walsh his 5th dan and 6th dan, Grand Master graded in Karate, Ju-Jitsu, and many more martial arts.
